Orange Is the New Black Star Says Season 2 Is “Even Better” Than Season 1

Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black is arguably the show of the summer, with the prison drama’s premiere season drawing praise from critics and fans alike. The cast is currently filming Season 2 in New York, and according to at least one of the show’s stars, the show has only gotten stronger since its debut a few months ago.

Danielle Brooks (Taystee) was quick to praise OTNB Season 2, telling E! Online, “The writing was amazing before and it has gotten even better. I don't know how they made it happen but it's really good," she reveals. "I think that people are going to be so excited about Season 2.”

And what would talk of Season 2 be without mention of Laura Prepon’s (Alex Vause) possible exit?

When asked about Laura’s increasingly likely departure from the show, star Taylor Schilling (Piper Chapman) kept her answer diplomatic and had nothing but good things to say about her co-worker.

“I don't really know anything about that, I just know that she's an amazing actress and I've really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there's no end to that relationship.”

Calling Alex “one of the great loves of Piper's life,” Taylor explained that she is just as curious to see what happens with Piper and Alex’s ever-complicated dynamic."It continues to play out it's like the layers of an onion. I'm curious also to see where the writers take that relationship,” she said.

Orange Is the New Black Season 2 will likely premiere sometime in 2014: Will you be watching?
