Orange Is the New Black took the world by storm in 2013, proving that Netflix could be a home not just for revived cult hits (Arrested Development) and white male anti-hero dramas that might be at home on HBO or AMC (House of Cards), but programming that would almost certainly never find a place on the broadcast television schedule. Diverse, boundary-pushing, and endlessly addictive, OITNB's first season left audiences across America begging for Season 2.

So, when can we expect to get the next installment in the revolutionary series? Sadly, so far there's no exact release date, beyond the frustratingly ambiguous promise of "2014." However, the show did start filming the second season in New York this fall, leading most people to expect an early- to mid-2014 release date.

Netflix's other biggest hit, House of Cards, is back on February 14, 2014, almost an exact year after its first season hit the interwebs on February 1, 2013. If OITNB were also to air around the same time as last year, that would mean we'd have to wait until July to get more.

However, there are reasons to suspect it might come out sooner than that. Not only did they start filming fairly early if that was the release date, but Netflix didn't order another Arrested Development season (yet, anyway), so it's possible they'll end up moving OITNB earlier to compensate. Moving it earlier would also ensure the show was still buzzy right around Emmy nominations season.
