The debut of Orange Is the New Black Season 2 is nearly here, but Jason Biggs is celebrating an ever bigger arrival! The star, who plays Piper’s fiancé Larry on the hit Netflix show, just announced that his wife, Jenny Mollen, gave birth to their first child in the early morning hours of February 15.
Sharing the news in an Instagram video on February 18, Jenny captured the moments before her departure for the hospital, and it’s definitely apparent she was in the throes of labor. “Uuuuugh, it hurts so bad!” she calls to her husband, who helpfully asks if she remembered to pack her book. Several hours later, the couple, who married in 2008, received the late Valentine’s Day gift of a healthy baby boy.
No word yet on the new addition’s name. We’re really hoping it’s not #babybiggs, though it wouldn’t surprise us given the social media prowess of these two. Jason is a frequent funny guy on Twitter — the fact that he hasn’t updated since Valentine’s Day should have tipped us off that he was busy enjoying being a new dad.
The American Pie actor announced they were expecting in his typical TMI fashion during an interview with Chelsea Handler in July.
"Her breasts are very big these days. Would you like to know why?’ Jason asked the Chelsea Lately audience. "’Cuz I put a baby in her belly!" Gesturing to his, uh, pants, he proudly exclaimed "It works!"
Hear that? It’s not just a pie thermometer, folks.
Congrats to the happy new parents!
