Nudity on TV is always a controversial issue. Whether it's Lena Dunham stripping down in every episode of Girls or another round of "does Game of Thrones have too much sexposition?" there's always something to say about who is or isn't getting naked on TV. Now it sounds like Orange Is the New Black is going to join the fun, big time, during Season 2.
At the Hollywood Radio and Television Society lunch this Wednesday, OITNB showrunner Jenji Kohan took to the stage, where she dished on her pro-sex, pro-nudity attitude when it comes to her show.
"I love graphic sex, the more sex the better," Jenji said (via The Hollywood Reporter). In fact, her biggest obstacle to getting sex on screen is "convincing the actors to get naked" and dealing with actor contracts that limit the amount of nudity they will do. But hey, that's what extras are for, right?
According to Jenji, Netflix is taking a rather HBO approach to nudity, giving her very few restrictions. That said, there's one thing you shouldn't expect to see on OITNB — full frontal with a guy who's, um, excited, if you know what we mean. But that doesn't mean full frontal is a no-go.
"We have some male frontal nudity this season," Jenji dished. "But I don't think it's going to be erect."
So, get ready for that, folks.
