Jared Leto might not wear suits very often, but when he does, he steals the show. That was certainly the case at the 2014 Oscars.

The Dallas Buyers Club star — who's a heavy favorite to win Best Supporting Actor for his stunning performance as Rayon, a transgender woman suffering from AIDS — hit the red carpet rocking an all white ensemble from Yves Saint Laurent that put most of Hollywood's hottest to shame. Sorry Ryan Seacrest, your cream-on-white look was nice and all, but Jared was wearing a red bowtie. And still looked killer sexy. He wins.

So, did Jared consider going with a more classic tux before settling on this standout look? "No, not at all," he told Ryan Seacrest.

"I always love that old school vibe," he explained. "I never really wear suits, so it's just a fun opportunity to do something old school and classic."

We also have to give a shoutout to Jared's now-famous locks. His long ombre hair, which he opted to wear down, probably gave half the actresses at the Oscars fits of jealousy.

Jared also talked to Ryan about how grateful he is for the response to Dallas Buyers Club — and gushed about his mom, who's his date tonight. "This is a woman who, against all odds, was able to make a better life for me and my brother...It's really fun to share this dream with her."

Hot and loves his mom? Swoon.
