We picked up a new girl crush this awards season when Margot Robbie graced us with her presence on the red carpet. The Wolf of Wall Street star knew how to let her natural beauty shine through by choosing simple though elegant looks for the Golden Globes and SAG Awards. But Margot really threw us for a loop tonight when she debuted darker locks on the Oscars 2014 red carpet. So we’ve got to ask, which is better: blonde Margot or brunette Margot?

The 23-year-old actress recently dyed her naturally blonde locks a dark brown for her role in the post apocalyptic thriller, Z For Zachariah, currently filming in New Zealand. And we have to say, the brunette look is really working — though we imagine any color would look great on her!

Margot put her hair change on display with a deep-parted ‘do, made complete with Old Hollywood waves. The color looks fantastic with her black Saint Laurent gown with back bow embellishment. And she upped the glam factor even further with a Forevermark Exceptional Diamond necklace and earrings.

Here’s hoping that the in-demand beauty’s film Wolf of Wall Street wins tonight for Best Film so she can bring all that gorgeousness to the big stage!

Do you like Margot as a brunette? Tell us your thoughts on the hair change in the comments below.
