Celebs putting their personal time up for auction to support their favorite charities is nothing new. Celebs offering to take a fan to space for the right price? Yeah, that’s pretty new.

But according to Entertainment Tonight, Leonardo DiCaprio is doing just that. For his contribution to the 21st annual Cinema Against AIDS gala, hosted by amfAR, the Wolf of Wall Street auctioned off the opportunity to join him in a space mission in 2015 — and, for the low, low price of $1.5 million, it sold!

Not surprising — hanging out with Leo would be an awesome experience, and going to space would be even cooler. Combine the two, and you have one vacation you’ll never forget.  However, Leo’s space trip wasn’t the biggest draw. A 10,000 year old fossil, coated in steel by contemporary artist Damien Hirst, had a winning bid of about $15 million!

The gala, held very conveniently in France while the Cannes Film Festival is going on, raised over $38 million for AIDS research, more than any other gala has brought in previously. That’s impressive! The event was attended by stars like Paris Hilton, Jessica Chastain, Sharon Stone, and even Justin Bieber.

So would you be up for space with Leo, or do you seriously doubt that’s ever going to happen for the lucky bidder?
