About Wetpaint
Wetpaint is a Web 2.0 startup developing a publishing platform that makes it fun and easy to create click-and-type wiki communities. Focusing on ease of use, Wetpaint’s technology is revolutionizing the way people share their passions and interests online. We want to be THE online community platform and since the company’s June 2006 debut, more than 600,000 user-created community sites have been created. Wetpaint has also partnered with prominent consumer brands within the key categories of entertainment (ABC, CBS, FOX, BET, and Viacom), technology (Dell, T-Mobile, HP, Oracle, and HTC), and lifestyle (Food & Wine, Executive Travel, Better Homes & Garden) to launch wiki communities around their brands and products.
Located in a funky loft space in the historic Pioneer Square district of Seattle, we are a small company where collaboration and innovation are championed. Funded by the same venture capital firms backing Facebook and Photobucket, Wetpaint is well positioned to change the way people interact on the internet.
Position Description
The ideal QA Engineer is a self-starter who works in constant interaction with the QA Manager, developers, designers, and program managers to ensure the quality of new features under development as well as the stability and quality of the currently-live Wetpaint service. This role assumes extensive troubleshooting and problem solving, a detail-oriented outlook, high productivity, and a passion for creating high-quality user experience.
Wetpaint maintains a fast-moving development cycle which allows our developers to concentrate on specific feature improvements rather than large-scale redesigns. This enables our testing to be focused, rather than all-encompassing, and requires that QA be involved from the beginning of the development process. It also requires an in-depth understand of the underlying technologies under development in order to test efficiently and effectively within a short timeframe, usually under changing conditions with little to no notice.

- Interact with Program Management regarding new and existing features.
- Interact with Support and customers to resolve customer issues.
