Wetpaint Injected: How It Works
Wetpaint Injected content is integrated directly into your server’s webpages, so your website receives full traffic credit for the content from the search engines. You get all this simply by adding a few lines of server-side code to your website.
So how does Wetpaint Injected work?
To make the integration as easy as possible, Wetpaint handles the server infrastructure for you. This means you don’t have to add any software, servers, or databases to your infrastructure. You add a few lines of code into your webpage and Wetpaint manages the rest. After integrating Wetpaint Injected, socially published content will begin to appear as your community starts contributing to your website.

How does the integration happen?
A few lines of server-side code (PHP, Java, C++, .NET, etc.) added to your website is the primary integration requirement. This code includes scripts that retrieve the latest content from the Wetpaint API. Each time a web browser requests a page from your web server the scripts within your server page retrieve the content for display. We also provide a JavaScript library which formats the content once it is displayed in the web browser.
See the integration for yourself in this video.

How long does it take to integrate?
Based on current implementations, it takes up to 1-2 days to integrate without sign-on integration and 3-4 days with sign-in integration.
