Paris Jackson Moving to Longer-Term Treatment Center: Report
Paris Jackson is about to seek additional help at a new facility.
The 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson is currently seeking treatment at a psychiatric facility at the UCLA Medical Center, but she may soon be moved to a longer-term facility, according to People.
"Paris will be staying [at UCLA for] at least another week, and then she'll be going to a facility for additional care," a source reports.
This move comes after her family apparently had trouble knowing exactly where the best place would be for Paris to continue to recover.
Paris was hospitalized on June 5 after taking pills and cutting herself with a knife.
This situation is said to be especially difficult on her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, who was Michael Jackson's mom. Katherine has legal co-guardianship of Paris.
"This has been so hard for Mrs. Jackson," the source says. "She keeps saying she's never had any experience of how to deal with someone in this situation."
Reportedly, Katherine and Paris's mom Debbie both agreed with doctors that the longer-term facility would be best, rather than having her come home just yet.
Katherine is also said to be worried that Paris had "fallen in with the wrong crowd" in Los Angeles, according to the insider.
