It seems like everyone wants in on Parks & Rec this season (not that we blame them).
First, supermodel and Project Runway host Heidi Klum stopped by as the perky, perfect leader of a town in Denmark (think Leslie Knope if Pawnee ever realized how great she is). Now rising star Tatiana Maslany of hit sci-fi show Orphan Black makes a guest appearance and we’ve got a special sneak peek at her debut on the October 17 episode.
“I need to talk to someone about reserving a park,” she asks the notoriously snarky April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza).
“Oh we have a new policy,” April says. “Parks can only be reserved for witch covens or Slip 'N Slide competitions. Which one are you?”
“Slip 'N Slide competition,” Tatiana coolly replies but don’t get your hopes up about seeing the super sexy Canadian star in a bikini. Her character, Nadia, actually works for Doctors Without Borders — or “the old Ds Without Bs” to Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari) — and needs to rent a park for a free vaccination clinic.
There to help is an awestruck Tom. With his newly acquired English accent, it sounds like Tom’s taking a cue from Tatiana’s real-life boyfriend, the Welsh actor and Downton Abbey star Tom Cullen — and it works! Tatiana’s character is rumored to fall for Aziz’s Tom as his new love interest during Episodes 5 and 6.
Seeing as Tatiana plays a clone on Orphan Black, we can’t help but wonder if her Parks & Rec character might have some sort of split personality. Then again, even if she does, she’ll still be less nuts than Mona-Lisa.
