Paul Nassif Lawsuit Against Chef Bernie Guzman Under Review By Judge

Chef Bernie strikes again!

In the thick of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills divorce of Paul Nassif and Adrienne Maloof, the family chef Bernie Guzman posted photos that shows Paul's alleged physical abuse against Adrienne. Paul answered this with a lawsuit against Bernie.

The case was recently heard by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos who says she wants more time to review the case but it tentatively ruling that Paul "does not have to arbitrate his claims that an employee of his ex-wife defamed him on Facebook with spousal abuse allegations," reports the Beverly Hills Dispatch.

The status of an employment contract could now affect the legitimacy of Paul's suit against Bernie, which claims that Bernie spread "outrageous and vicious lies" and accuses him of civil extortion/blackmail and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Paul has asked for an unspecified amount in damages and an injunction preventing the chef from making further claims about him or his conduct.

The judge is requesting that the parties enter into a "force arbitration" clause and attempt to work out the particulars outside of court while she considers the validity of the case. Bernie says Paul's lawsuit has no merit because there was a clause in his contract stipulating that his employers could not sue him. The only problem? Paul never signed this agreement.

Bernie's lawyer says that Paul acting as a boss to Bernie speaks for itself but also notes that he never received a copy of the agreement either. Paul says he "never signed any document in which I agreed to arbitrate any claim or dispute with (Bernie)."

This is one messy case.
