Paul Walker’s Daughter Will Live With Mom, If She Completes Rehab — Report
Fans are still reeling from Paul Walker's tragic November 30 death at age 40, and it still remains to be seen what will happen to his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.
Paul's mother, Cheryl Walker, filed for guardianship earlier in March, but TMZ says she'll back off those plans if Meadow's mother, Rebecca Soteros, agrees to complete rehab.
Rebecca has two DUIs, TMZ said, and her alcohol issues are tied to why Meadow moved from Hawaii to L.A. three years ago to live with her dad. According to TMZ, Rebecca grudgingly told Cheryl she would go to rehab immediately, and Cheryl said she'd drop her guardianship bid if Rebecca completed the program and agreed to drug testing afterward.
Rebecca reportedly started a detox program on Friday and will enter full-time rehab in a week. She said being with Meadow was the most important thing to her, so she agreed to the demands.
Paul had a will, which named Cheryl as Meadow's "dedicated guardian." According to E! News, Meadow is the sole beneficiary of Paul's $25 million estate.
Nothing can replace the loss of a beloved parent, but if Rebecca does successfully complete rehab and the family mends its divisions, that would at least be one small good thing to come out of this, no?
