Paul Walker’s Death: His Daughter Did Not Witness Car Crash (UPDATE)

Update (December 3, 2013):

Thankfully, Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow, did not in fact witness the horrific crash that claimed her father's life. His team took to Paul's official Facebook on December 3 to set the record straight: "It is unfortunate that claims are being made to the media that Paul's daughter Meadow was at the event on Saturday when the accident occurred. We want to clarify that Paul went to the event alone. Meadow was not at the charity event on Saturday and thankfully, did not witness the accident."

It's a small spot of good news in what has otherwise been a series of sad updates. Paul's team adds, "Any claims stating otherwise are inaccurate.Sadly, there's also numerous people creating fake social media profiles claiming to be Meadow. We would like everyone to know that Meadow does not currently have any public profiles and is not currently active on social media. We ask that her privacy be respected at this time."

Original story (December 1, 2013):

Details continue to come in about Paul Walker's death, including that his 15-year-old daughter witnessed the car crash that tragically took his life.

Paul and friend Roger Rodas passed away on November 30 when their car smashed into a light pole and burst into flames. The two had just left a charity event for Paul's foundation, Reach Out Worldwide.

Sadly, Paul's daughter, Meadow Walker, was in attendance at the charity event and actually saw the wreck take place, as the car crashed not far from the event. Roger's eight-year-old son also witnessed the crash and even tried to save his father.

Meadow is Paul's daughter with ex Rebecca McBrain. Meadow used to stay with her mom but had recently moved in with Paul. "It’s working out really well right now," Paul had said earlier this year about living with Meadow.

After Paul's death, Meadow took to Facebook to write about her memories with him. "He was my hero, my REAL life hero!" she writes. "He will always be in my heart! It brings tears in my eyes as I write this!"

As sad as it is that Meadow saw the car crash, it's such a relief that she wasn't in the car as well. Our thoughts continue to go out to her and all of Paul and Roger's loved ones.
