Normally, the term ‘mini-me’ refers to a mom and her lookalike daughter. Not so for Pauly D., who says he’s styling his baby girl, 6 month-old Ambella, in his own image!
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the former Jersey Shore star at the F*ck Cancer charity event in NYC on Nov. 21, where he manned the DJ both for a massive crowd. Before hitting the stage, Pauly opened up about how fatherhood has changed him and his favorite newfound hobby: shopping for his little girl!
Wetpaint Entertainment: First things first, what drew you to this event?
Pauly: It hits home because, unfortunately, I’ve lost several family members to cancer, including both my grandparents. So anything I can do to bring awareness and raise some money towards finding a cure, I’m here. I’m going to spin for a good cause.
Tell us about your first meeting with Ambella.
It was amazing. I knew right away she was mine. She looks just like me – same big eyes, same mouth. It was so exciting. I was nervous, but once I saw her, it all went away.
What kind of things do you do for her?
I online shop a lot actually, but now I look for stuff for her, not for me. I love buying her cool little sneakers and stuff like that. I want hers to match mine. It’s cool to dress a little girl. I didn’t know that before, but now I’m doing it.
What do you look forward to doing with her when she’s a little older?
Oh man, I can’t wait ‘til I can buy her her first watch and stuff like that. I want to see her walk, I want her to say my name. I want to be there for all of it.
