People’s Choice Awards 2014: Nina Dobrev Nominated For Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress

Nina Dobrev is on a roll. For the third year in a row, the Vampire Diaries actress is a People’s Choice Awards nominee, up for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress!

Though she didn’t win at the 2013 ceremony, she has an award at home from 2012 — one which she won from a write-in, no less — though it was for a different category: Favorite Dramatic TV Actress. But regardless, it’s time to boot and rally, TVD fans! We get to vote for her, the amazing actress who plays not one, not two, but three characters on the hit CW show now. Basically, she’s thrice as deserving as anyone else.

The gorgeous brunette is up against Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke, Once Upon a Time’s Ginnifer Goodwin, Beauty and the Beast’s Kristin Kruek, and Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany, and though we adore and respect all the nominees, we think Nina deserves it the most. Though if we’re basing it off of her ability to play multiple characters, Tatiana could edge her out — she plays eight (and counting) clones simultaneously on her show.

Additionally, The Vampire Diaries is up for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, Ian Somerhalder is nominated for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor, and Nina and Ian are nominated for Favorite TV Couple. The show could easily sweep the awards, and if Delena takes their award home, it could be their second win — they’re neck-and-neck with Glee’s Rachel and Finn for E!’s Best TV Couple of All Time Tournament, too!

Fingers crossed for everyone at the People’s Choice Awards. Will you be voting for Nina and TVD? Sound off below, and click here to get your vote on.

The People’s Choice Awards air on January 8, 2014 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. You can vote at, their official voting app, and on Facebook or Twitter through December 5, 2013.
