Game of Thrones Earns Three 2014 People’s Choice Nominations

It’s time to get out the vote! Sure, it’s Election Day, but in this case we’re talking about a truly democratic process: The People’s Choice Awards. The list of nominees for the 2014 PCAs was released November 5, and your favorite genre drama, Game of Thrones, is nominated in three categories.

Foremost, the show as a whole is in the running for Favorite Premium Cable TV Show, while Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is up for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress. The third nomination goes to Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) for Favorite TV Anti-Hero. However, The Kingslayer will face some pretty stiff competition next to Breaking Bad’s Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and the eponymous Dexter (Michael C. Hall).

While it’s an honor to be nominated even once, let alone in three categories, we can’t help but feel there are some snubs on the lengthy list. For example, how are Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Jaime not up for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry? Or Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sam (John Bradley) for Favorite TV Bromance? These are terrible oversights if you ask us.

Furthermore, it’s a crime that Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) isn’t nominated for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor! We’re considering a write-in campaign to correct this grievous error.

But all bitter feelings aside, you’ve got at least three votes to cast, so get crackin’. You can see a full list of nominations here.
