One Direction to Perform at the 2013 American Music Awards

Get excited, Directioners: One Direction is set to perform at the 2013 American Music Awards.

Yesterday it was announced that both 1D and Florida Georgia Line will be joining the already announced list of performers that includes Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons, and Rihanna.

Wait, One Direction and Taylor Swift under the same roof? Would it be too much to ask to see Taylor and Harry reconcile — on stage — and then perform an emotional duet? Um, yeah, way too much to ask, but we can dream, right?

The nominees for the awards were announced on October 10, and fans can vote online for their favorites — yes, that means the power of who wins is all in our hands. Voting opened up yesterday at Get clicking!

Something else exciting about this year’s awards? According to The Hollywood Reporter, viewers will also get to vote via Twitter, a first for the AMAs.

We can only hope this means we’ll get the opportunity to see Harry bored and eating fruit in the audience again.

The American Music Awards Air November 24 on ABC, live from the Nokia Theater in LA.
