The Voice 2014: Best Performance From Battle Rounds — March 25, 2014 (VIDEO)

The Voice Season 6 started its final night of the first set of Battle Rounds with a somber sound and quickly ramped up to give us a pretty energetic and fun performance (albeit with a montage thrown in the mix). While all three performances definitely stirred some emotions for us, there was only one we thought stood out from the pack.

Team Adam’s battle between Sam Behymer and Cary Laine to “Give Me Love” by Ed Sheeran was a bit tear-jerking and totally tugged on our heartstrings, but the mood quickly shifted after watching the pure fun and delight of Team Blake’s Kaleigh Glanton and Noah Lis on their duet to Michael Bublé’s “Everything.” Unfortunately, neither performance stood a chance against the last performance of the night from Team Shakira’s Cierra Mickens and Emily B.

While we were a little bit skeptical that both ladies were going to be able to pull off Sara Bareilles’s Grammy-nominated tune “Brave,” both ladies proved us wrong by bringing tons of energy and showcasing their powerhouse vocals. And we’re not the only ones who thought that both ladies did something right; when Emily B. was chosen the winner of the battle, coach Usher used his last steal to keep Cierra in the game.
