The Voice 2013: Best Performance From the Season 5 Live Shows — Nov. 25, 2013 (VIDEO)
The Voice 2013 Season 5’s Top 8 singers brought their A-game to the live shows last night, as each singer battled it out on stage for America’s votes. With the competition getting stiffer, the Voice contestants all hoped to show another level of depth to their sound and talent. And while some of the singers did well, there were others that just soared.
Team Adam Levine’s Tessanne Chin did her usual magic when she took on the No Doubt track “Underneath it All” (featuring Lady Saw) and gave the audience a taste of Jamaican flavor when she sang the reggae break of the song!
Finally, we got to see a livelier Caroline Pennell, when the Team Cee Lo Green contestant gave a more up-tempo performance with Florence and the Machine’s “Dog Days Are Over,” and of course Team Christina Aguilera’s Jacquie Lee displayed once again the massive power contained in her voice with “Who’s Lovin You Now” by Jackson 5.
All in all, it was a good night for the contestants, however, it was Team Blake Shelton’s Cole Vosbury who blew us away. Cole continues to amaze us with his versatility from singing an R&B song one week, a rock ballad another week, and a country tune the next. Furthermore, we finally got to hear the raw passion in Cole’s voice last night, which made his performance all the more unforgettable.
