The Voice 2014: Best Performance From the Season 6 Live Finals — May 19, 2014 (VIDEO)

Last night on The Voice 2014 Season 6 live finals, each of the Top 3 contestants got not one, but two chances to wow America for votes for the last time. In addition, each of the remaining artists got to sing a duet with their coach. With last night being their final shot at becoming The Voice, each singer pulled no punches and gave some of their best performances all season. So, which artist impressed us the most?

As usual, Team Blake Shelton’s charismatic country crooner Jake Worthington gave a solid performance, both with the fan-picked encore of his Blind Audition tune, “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Keith Whitley and his final country rendition of Richard Marx’s ‘80s classic, “Right Here Waiting For You.”

In addition, Team Adam’s Christina Grimmie definitely brought more punch to her encore performance of Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball,” and the 20-year-old New Jersey native showed that she definitely had the chops with her pop rendition of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by the great Elvis Presley.

However, when we boiled it down, we thought Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman gave the best performance of the night. Though we totally loved his rendition of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain,” he totally won us over with his encore performance of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” by Stevie Wonder.

This time around we got to hear Josh sing the entire tune — when we first heard it, it was during his second battle with his teammate at the time, Delvin Choice. What made this performance special was not only the symbolism of it all (it was the song that would’ve sent him home, but instead gave him a second chance), but the fact that Josh was able to show his growth as an artist, and even infused a bit of Delvin’s stylistic sound to it to give an added flair.

We have no clue who’s got the upper hand in tonight’s finale, but at least have memorable performances like this one to hold us over.
