Selena Gomez May Pay Massive Settlement to End Perfume Lawsuit
The sweet smell of a settlement. Though Selena Gomez was poised to join the ranks of Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Kim Kardashian and other celebs with their own perfumes, TMZ reports the singer may now have to pay $1 million for a fragrance that will never go into production. So much for our dreams of smelling like Selena!
According Adrenalina, Inc., the “Come and Get It” singerbacked out of their deal after the company spent $2 million developing the scent. In a counter-suit, Selena said Adrenalina couldn’t afford to make the perfume.
Now TMZ reports Selena and the manufacturer have reached a settlement, which could require the 21-year-old to pay out half the money Adrenalina sunk into the defunct scent.
The settlement comes on the heels of more bad news for Selena. Her pal Taylor Swift may have outed Justin Bieber, SG’s former BF, as a cheater. I’ve seen my friends take someone back after they’ve cheated because they fit perfectly,” the “We Are Never Getting Back Together” singer recently told Glamour UK.
While Taylor didn’t exactly name names (or include a Justin Bieber-look-alike in any of her videos), we can’t help but think she was ratting out the Canadian singer. And if it is true, well, it stinks more than any Designer Imposter perfume.
