PETA Slams Jenelle Evans For Mistreating Dogs — How Did She Respond?
We know you're trying to block out the alarming events of last week's Teen Mom 2episode, but fans just can't get over Jenelle Evans's shocking treatment of her adorable puppies.
Though she's since apologized for her behavior, Jenelle was seen yelling at her dogs and forcing them to hang out in the same small crate while she ran errands, and it looks like the folks at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) are fuming.
PETA penned Jenelle an open letter about her mistreatment of the pups, where they explained that dogs shouldn't be yelled at for pooping, or yelled at in general. They also added that the dogs most definitely shouldn't be kept in a crate for hours on end.
However, PETA took it one step further and implied that Jenelle shouldn't even get a second chance. In fact, they implored her to give the dogs up to a better home.
"Please immediately make the commitment to finding them a new, suitable home where they are not kept in crates and punished and yelled at for relieving themselves," PETA's letter reads. "Please understand that dogs are not toys or amusements or possessions just to have around."
Whoa, way harsh, PETA! No one in Teen Mom Land thinks Jenelle's treatment of her dogs was acceptable, but let's not forget that girlfriend was pregnant and highly hormonal. Plus, she also apologized, mended her ways, and now treats her dogs like the royalty that they are.
You better believe Jenelle was peeved at PETA! Not only did she tweet a photo of a lizard saying, "I just saved 100% on stress by not giving a f—k,” but she followed-up with, "Documents show [PETA] killed nearly 2,000 shelter animals in 2013."
Ball's in your court, PETA! Do you think this animal rights organization took things too far with Jenelle, or is their letter the reality check she needs? Sound off in the comments!
