Cynthia Bailey Denies Peter Thomas’s Involvement in Apollo Nida’s Fraud Scandal

As you may have heard, Phaedra Parks's husband, Apollo Nida, has found himself in trouble with the law yet again after being charged with multiple counts of fraud and identity theft. Now, the rumor mills have turned to Cynthia Bailey's hubby, Peter Thomas, but the Real Housewives of Atlanta supermodel is denying Peter's involvement. She recently spoke with Jet Magazine, where she set the record straight.

"I can’t speak on Apollo, but I can say that Peter Thomas doesn’t have anything to do with a bank fraud scandal to my knowledge,” a perplexed Cynthia told the interviewer. “The feds are not sitting outside of our house. That is just not accurate information, and this is the first time that I have heard rumors that Peter is involved in any way.”

Late on January 23, Apollo surrendered to federal officials and was charged the next day. He was released shortly after on a pretrial bail of $25,000.

Specifically, Apollo was charged with creating fake companies, which, in turn, gave him access to databases of people to steal money from. Supposedly, he then opened fraudulent bank accounts with the real names and placed stolen U.S. Treasury checks, retirement checks from Delta Airlines employees, and auto loan profits in them.

In other words, these are some pretty serious charges, people. We hope Cynthia is right and Peter doesn't have anything to do with the legal drama.
