Peter Thomas Sued For $100K in Unpaid Rent — Hear His Response!

It’s really true what they say: mo’ money, mo’ problems. While the entire Real Housewives franchise is built around the fact that these people have buckets of cash, they also are constantly running into money issues. And now Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Peter Thomas is the latest of many to deal with this problem, as he’s now being sued by the landlord for his Bar One for a whopping $100,000 for unpaid rent.

On February 19, Peter’s landlord for the Atlanta hotspot — which we’ve seen on the Bravo reality more than a few times — has filed a lawsuit against the businessman, claiming that he hasn’t paid rent since March 2013.

And it’s not just Peter who’s being affected — his wife Cynthia Bailey has a separate suit against her by that same landlord! According to the landlord, Cynthia owes $29K on her Bailey Agency property, as well.

For his part, Peter denies the entire allegation, telling Access Atlanta that it was a mere misunderstanding and insisting that he has been keeping up with his payments. He says that there is a “primary” landlord who he has been paying that failed to pay it toward the property’s mortgage and foreclosure.

"I’ve been caught in the middle of the crossfire. I don’t owe them anything,” he explains.

Hopefully it can all be worked out soon. We have too much fun watching Cynthia doing model castings for the Bailey Agency, that we can’t imagine it not being around anymore!

Do you believe that Peter was keeping up with his rent? Tell us in the comments below.
