Though Kandi Burruss’s wedding to Todd Tucker happened back on April 4, we’re still a few weeks away from the nuptials on the couple’s spin-off series, Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding. So you know what that also means? It’s almost time for the epic bachelor and bachelorette parties!
Though we’ll have to wait for Sunday’s June 22 episode to see it all go down on-screen, the folks over at RadarOnline.com got fellow Atlanta Housewife and Kandi’s bridesmaid Phaedra Parks to dish on the crazy night. And Phaedra was the perfect source, considering she planned the entire, two-part shindig!
“The party was a two-part party and we had our entertainment and our fun and games,” Parks tells the website. “A lot of the games were centered around Kandi’s product line, Bedroom Kandi, so there were some very risqué games.”
We won’t spoil the dirty antics too much for you, but let’s just say that apparently one of the games included a pair of granny panties (huh?) and another was all about “How big is your mouth?” Yea, they went there...
Of course, as any good bach celebration should, Phaedra enlisted the entertainment of some strippers for her pal’s final night of singledom — though she did things a bit differently than the rest of us.
“They wanted to do something different, so I found a lot of fun, fetish ladies who really embodied the wild side of every woman,” the mother of two explains. “They didn’t want guys; they wanted just very interesting ladies. So we had a little person and we had a very big person.”
That all sounds very Miley at the VMAs to us, but OK!
There were some issues with the performance, however. “We had a mishap with one of our tables that one of our little dancers was dancing on it,” Phaedra details. “She fell. The table actually broke during the routine.”
Luckily, the dancer bounced back and the ladies were able to tip generously, thanks to Mrs. Apollo Nida, who provided $500 in ones for all of Kandi’s pals and family! And boy did they have a mixed batch in attendance. Not only were Phaedra, Porsha Williams and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Rasheeda there, but so were Kandi’s Aunt Nora and Todd’s mother! Awkward. Oh, and about 50 other people, Phaedra details.
But that was only the first part of the night. After guests treated themselves to hors d’oeuvres like shrimp sliders and salmon pate, a smaller crew of about 10 went to the Atlanta night club Compound to party it up! Phaedra arranged for bottle service, and the ladies all “danced the night away” until around 2:30 a.m. she says!
“She said that was the most fun she had ever had,” the reality star reveals. “I have never seen Kandi so happy in my whole life.”
See Kandi’s bachelorette party go down on Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding on Sunday, June 22 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
