They’ve all tried rapping, and we kind of wish they hadn’t.
The 33-year-old “Flatline” singer, who has been hard at work recording her new EP and nailing down some dance moves for her upcoming performances, posted a little sample of her latest work to Twitter on Wednesday, and, let’s just say we’re of the opinion that she should stick to her day job.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star announced the performance, which was captured by Dish Nation cameras, telling fans, “Bet y'all didn't know that I'm coming out with a rap song! Y'all riding with mE???”
With her colleague lending a beat to her verse, Porsha prepares to get on the mic, looking as though she’s about to spit some serious verse. Unfortunately, the rap we were all expecting never comes.
While Porsha manages to get out the words “I’m with a girl,” she doesn’t follow up with a rhyme, indicating that her skills as an emcee may not be quite up to par.
As her colleagues start cracking up over her lack of prowess behind the mic, Porsha quickly defends herself, yelling, “Incoming! I was waiting on the beat to drop! I was waiting on the beat to drop!”
Sure, you were Porsha. Sure you were.
