Lucy Hale Postpones Grand Ole Opry Performance Due to Illness
Sad news for Lucy Hale fans. The Pretty Little Liars star — and budding country musician — is postponing her Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, February 21 due to illness.
According to a press release via The Boot, Lucy was in the middle of a two-month promotional tour and playing multiple performances across the U.S. before falling ill earlier this week. The starlet has been battling flu symptoms all week, and ultimately had to make the hard decision to postpone the Opry performance. With so much time on the road, performing on the daily, it was only a matter of time before Lucy fell ill. It’s just unfortunate that it had to happen on the eve of her big night.
But Lucy will get another chance to fulfill her “life-long dream.” The show will be re-scheduled for a later date. So now you’ll have even more time to get your tickets, PLL fans!
Lucy dropped her debut country single, “You Sound Good to Me,” on January 7. Within hours, it topped the country music charts on iTunes. The soon-to-be country star recently announced the title and release date of her debut album. Road Between will drop on June 3, 2014 — which will likely be around the same time as the Season 5 premiere of Pretty Little Liars.
Here’s hoping Lucy feels better soon because we can’t wait to see her take the iconic Grand Ole Opry by storm!
