A day after Kanye took the Saturday Night Live stage on May 18 to perform new songs "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves," his pregnant baby mama posted a photo of a CD case labelled "Yeezy" alongside a red Nike Air Yeezy II shoe.
And Kim used a batch of telling hashtags: "#Yeezus #RedYeezy's #SNL #Tonight #NewSlaves #YeezySeason #Donda #June18"
The potential album art is a bit inscrutable, we gotta say. What exactly are we looking at here? Fuse describes it as a "lump of molten gold," which seems as good a guess as any. (Maybe one of the new songs will be titled "Watch the Throne Melt.")
The June 18 reference in Kim's post corroborates the speculation that that's the release date for the new album, which started when 'Ye deleted his entire Twitter feed save for one tweet that reads "June Eighteen."
It wouldn't be the first time Kanye used some, um, eclectic album art: One of the covers for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy featured a George Condo painting depicting an armless, nude woman straddling a nude Kanye.
