President Obama: Ellen’s Oscar Selfie Was a “Pretty Cheap Stunt” (VIDEO)

We might have been obsessed with Ellen’s celeb-packed Oscars selfie, but there’s someone who can’t say the same: President Obama. Unfortunately, he’s a little bummed that Ellen’s photo became the most retweeted photo of all time… because the record she broke previously belonged to him!

The original most retweeted photo of all time? A pic of Obama with his wife, Michelle, that he posted in 2012 the night he was reelected president. Now, that picture stands in second place… thanks to what Barack called a “cheap stunt” when he appeared on her show via satellite this week.

“I don’t know if you know this, but I was aiming to break your record of retweets and I apologize for doing it,” Ellen said. “But I broke your retweet record.” Whatever, Ellen. You’re not sorry, and neither are we. That picture was legendary!

“I heard about that,” Barack said. “I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself. Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background… you feeding them pizza.”

Yeah, now that we think of it, that does sound a little like bribery. We’d jump in any photo if it meant free pizza.

Obama and Ellen also chatted about Michelle’s trip to China with daughters Malia and Sasha, which has left Obama with an empty house… except for the pets.

“The house is abandoned. I’m stuck with two dogs, and I’m expected to walk them,” Barack said. “And do what you do when you walk dogs.”

Sounds like a ruff life to us. Get it?
