Marlene King Teases “Lots of Romance” in ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 Finale
Pretty Little Liars Season 6 is still months away, but it’s already wrapped filming, and now showrunner Marlene King is teasing a finale that takes us back to the show's good old days.
FEATURE: Why Does Emily Have It Worst Over the PLL Time Jump?
Marlene, who is currently in the editing process for the season, tweeted about re-watching the finale, writing, "This one reminds of our early finales. Lots of romance mixed w a big a— twist."
Im in editing today w @loisblumenthal cutting 6B finale. This one reminds of our early finales. Lots of romance mixed w a big ass twist.— I. Marlene King (@imarleneking) October 21, 2015
NEWS: PLL Showrunner Gives Hope to Emily/Alison Shippers
It's the romance part that especially catches our eye, since the state of all the big Pretty Little Liars relationships is up in the air thanks to the five year time jump, which shakes everything up.
In fact, thanks to recent spoilers, we know at the start of the season Aria and Ezra are not together (in fact, Aria is with someone else), and things aren't looking good for Spencer and Toby, either. However, we have a feeling all that will change come finale time.
NEWS: Is Alison Changing Too Much on PLL?
Not willing to wait that long? Well, never fear. Marlene recently told TVLine there's "a fun Spoby scene" in the season premiere, and Lucy Hale say there are definitely sparks between Aria and Ezra from the moment they see each other again after their time apart.
As for Emily and Hanna? Well, we'll just have to wait and see what shape their love lives are in.
Catch the new Pretty Little Liars Five Years Later special on Tuesday, November 24 on ABC Family.
