Every Piece of Evidence That Spencer Has a Twin on ‘Pretty Little Liars’

Before you know it, our time in Rosewood is going to come to an end.

And as the final episodes start to tick by, one major fan theory is emerging from the rest to be what so many people believe is the ultimate #Endgame: The Pretty Little Liars Spencer twin theory.

And the evidence behind it is actually totally legit. Whether Spencer’s twin is “Uber A” or even Bethany Young, as some PLL fans have surmised, we’re not sure. But there are so, so many signs that make us certain there’s a duplicate Spencer Hastings running around Rosewood.

Check out our top clues.

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.

1. It's all about the bangs

We have got to start with That Scene — the scene with Spencer appearing to Hanna in a dream when the latter is abducted by “A.D.” The scene is quickly becoming the key evidence that Spencer has a twin.

The primary reason? Spencer’s bangs. In the five-year flash-forward, Spencer has been rocking the fringe, but when Hanna sees her in the “dream,” she is bangs-free. This is the greatest evidence that Spencer has a twin; it wasn’t a dream and the twin literally did visit Hanna.

Let’s stay in that scene because there’s way more evidence of the twin theory. During Hanna’s sentimental dream chat with “Spencer,” the latter references the name “A.D.” — but Hanna would have no way of knowing there’s a new “A” going by that moniker at this point.

Spencer’s twin, however, totally would.

OK, last clue in That Scene: In Hanna’s dream, Spencer asked her who killed Charlotte. We know Hanna doesn’t know, and Hanna knows Hanna doesn’t know, so why would her dream ask her that? Well, Spencer’s twin, if she was “A.D.” would actually want to get that information, not knowing the Liar doesn’t know.

Since Season 7 has begun, Spencer has been rocking an Apple Watch and/or a regular watch. But if you pay attention, the timepiece has been switching wrists. Considering how much work goes into fashion and wardrobe on Pretty Little Liars, this probably isn’t a production error.

Instead, could this be a sign that when the watch is on one arm, it’s Spencer, and when it’s on another, it’s her twin?

Back to this switching hands issue: During the ping pong match with Marco, the show made a point of showing that Spencer switched her paddle to the left hand to ace a shot and beat Marco.

However, from her early tennis lessons (remember Alex?), we know Spencer is right-handed. Maybe her twin is a lefty? If so, it could confirm a long-held belief that “A” has been left-handed.

A rather Spencer-looking Maddie Ziegler graced Rosewood with a haunting dance-filled dream sequence, and then it was basically never mentioned again.

However, we theorize Spencer was getting weird dream visions of her twin, who grew up as a patient in Radley. There has to be a reason only Spencer saw it, and in Rosewood, dreams always mean something.

IRL, Caleb spilled a clue about “Uber A”s identity, and all signs point to Spencer’s twin.

"You've never met them," he said about “A.D.” on Pretty Little Liars. "You kind of have. When you see it, you'll understand what I'm saying."

You kind of have? Come on, that screams that there’s a twin.

Back during the weirdest tea party ever, Mary Drake said this about Spencer and Melissa in a photo: “You and your sister look so much alike… almost like twins.”

If anyone would know if Spencer had a twin it would be her birth mother. Is she hinting at it here?

Remember when Hanna and Mary Drake were in the car together? Well Mary said something totally suspicious (as always).

“Many families have secrets. Most families, actually. And sometimes those secrets are actual people.”

We thought at the time that she was talking about herself, but maybe she was talking about another secret person: Spencer’s twin.

Alcoholic Dr. Cochran may be shady, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know things. And when Spencer and Aria asked him about Mary Drake, he mentioned delivering “two of her babies.”

Notably, he didn’t say “her two babies,” but two of them. So there were more than two: Charlotte/Charles, Spencer, and Spencer’s twin.

Veronica Hastings told Spencer she held her “five minutes” after her birth, but Dr. Cochran said one of Mary’s babies, born after Charles, was put into child protective services. Because we know that baby isn’t Spencer, it could be her twin.

Spencer is awarded a letter from Mary Drake after completing a task from the Endgame board game. The letter is addressed “for my child,” not specifically to Spencer. Could this letter be for another of her children, i.e., Spencer’s twin?

Fans have been dying to find a connection to Alison’s creepy story about the twins during Halloween and what’s happening IRL on Pretty Little Liars. Well one Tumblr user pointed out that one of the twins in the story has not one but two beauty marks that are crazy similar to Spencer’s (aka Troian Bellisario’s) birthmarks…. whoa.

In Charlotte’s Dollhouse, there is a lot of stuff from her childhood. Notably, you can see a framed piece of artwork with children’s handprints. We know that Charlotte has one sibling, Spencer, but there are three sets in this art, meaning that maybe Charlotte has yet another sibling...

Way back in Season 4, during Spencer’s drug issues, Veronica made an offhand comment about her “evil twin.”

“It was as if there were two of you living in this house: the Spencer we recognized and your evil twin, and we never knew which one was coming down to breakfast,” Veronica said.

Could this have been a hint of things to come?

Fans are pretty certain this scene from Season 7, Episode 15 is the smoking gun on the Twincer theory.

Immediately after Spencer was in the Lost Woods waiting for Mary Drake but encountering Marco instead, Spencer is spotted at the airport with none other than Wren Kingston. There are several reasons this is shady.

First, "Spencer" isn't wearing the same outfit as she was before, which is especially clear because her white trench coat was so noticeable in the earlier scene.

Second: Wren! Fans think that this is Spencer's twin meeting up with her "A.D." accomplice, Dr. Kingston, as he has always been suspicious. In this scene, he looks worried when Ezra encounters them.

Third, "Spencer" asks Ezra to not mention seeing her or Wren. Um, that's super shady.
