Pretty Little Liars Spoiler: Will Duncan Be on the Plane in Season 2, Episode 23?

As we reported yesterday, Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King tweeted a clue about Season 2, Episode 23: “Eye of the Beholder.” Apparently, there will be a plane involved.

Now, a new tweet suggests that new kid on the Rosewood block Duncan (Lachlan Buchanan) will be flying with, in, or on it.

In response to Lachlan’s innocent tweet about going surfing, Marlene tweeted, “And next week you fly in rosewood.” Does this mean that we’re going to see Duncan on a plane? For a character who was just introduced in the last episode (Season 2, Episode 22: “Father Knows Best”), and literally said one word so far, that’s quite a serious story line!

One possibility is that we’ll see Duncan on a plane in a flashback. There have been rumors that Duncan is closely connected to Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) past, and we already know that he knew Vivian Darkbloom, Ali’s alter ego.

Did the two meet on a plane? We learned in Season 1, Episode 12: “Salt Meets Wound” that Ali’s grandmother lives in Georgia, and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) notices that her luggage tags say South Carolina. That scene (in the episode which supposedly holds one of the biggest clues ever on PLL) is proof that Alison did travel on a plane at least twice.

Of course, there is the off-chance that Marlene means “fly” in a more figurative way, as in his lines will "fly" over the Little Liars heads, or he’ll “fly” past them in his car.

But knowing this show, we’re getting ready to put our tray tables up and make sure our seatbelts are fastened.

Catch an all-new Pretty Little Liars on Monday, March 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
