In responding to a Twitter fan’s question of whether she is a rock 'n' roll princess, Troian tweeted: “Well I don't know about that. But singing Francois Hardy in French in Paris might have been a highlight of my life.” We thought it was pretty cool, too. And we don’t even speak French!
What rock-and-roll-esque performance is the tweet referring to? Troian and some of her Pretty Little Liars co-stars are currently in Paris for the “Keep A Secret” Fan Convention. Amidst the behind-the-scenes stories and subtle spoilers, Troian found time to grace the French audience with a rendition of “Mon amie la rose,” a French poem originally put into song and made popular by French singer Francoise Hardy.
Judging from her tweet, Troian enjoyed it as much as the audience — who gave our young ingenue a standing ovation once she was finished — did. And, as an impartial third party observer, we’d say: Yes. Troian is a rock 'n' roll princess.
What do you think of Troian’s performance? And what do you think are some of the highlights of her career thus far? Sound off in the comments below!
