It's Holly Marie Combs (Ella Montgomery) 38th birthday today, December 3! To celebrate, here's a list of ten reasons we love Rosewood's feistiest mom:

  1. Charmed! Holly is great on Pretty Little Liars but she originally won our love as the witch Piper on this WB classic.
  2. When she was on Charmed, she was only cast member that appeared on every episode of the series' eight season run. Can you say hard-working?
  3. Picket Fences. Holly may have made us fall in love with her as Piper, but her first big TV role on quirky family classic Picket Fences is also great.
  4. She's sassy. Back when she audition for Picket Fences the casting director told her "she didn't have a big enough heart." She retorted, "If you're looking for someone with a big heart, what the hell are you doing in New York?” Love it!
  5. She loves animals, and is involved with animal shelter charity work.
  6. She is also active in the fight against breast cancer.
  7. She interacts with her fans a lot on Twitter. We love stars like that! Follow her at @H_Combs.
  8. She's one hot mama! Holly definitely still know how to work it on the red carpet.
  9. She had great chemistry with Chad Lowe. It makes their troubled relationship on PLL believable.  
  10. Ella is awesome.
