When we first heard Mona was going to team up with the Liars in Season 4 of Pretty Little Liars, we questioned Mona's motives (didn't everyone?). However, the latest synopsis for Season 4, Episode 2 ("Turn of the Shoe") has us rethinking things: "'A' nearly kills the newest PLL — Mona." Say what?!

Not only is Mona on "A's" hit list, but so is Emily! According to the new synopsis, "A" makes a "drastic move which leads to potentially devastating circumstances for Emily." Uh-oh. We really hope Paige is OK! We don't think Emily can survive another dead lover. Meanwhile, Alison's mom gifts Hanna with the family's parrot, which may sound silly, but that bird is going to blow the lid off Alison's mysterious last days. Last, but certainly not least, Aria becomes intrigued by her sexy self defense instructor (Ryan Guzman). We can already tell this episode is going to bring some serious drama to Rosewood.

Here’s the official Season 4, Episode 2 synopsis: "A" makes a drastic move which leads to potentially devastating circumstances for Emily in "Turn of the Shoe." Mrs. DiLaurentis' presence in Rosewood continues to unnerve all those around her, especially when she gives Hanna a family parrot, whose gift for mimicry provides startling insight into Alison's last days. Tired of feeling defenseless against "A," Aria decides to learn self defense and is intrigued by her sexy instructor. Meanwhile, Toby shares a heartbreaking secret with Spencer, and Hanna makes an alarming discovery regarding her mom.   And to complicate matters even further, "A" nearly kills the newest PLL — Mona.

If you're raising your eyebrow at that odd name, this might help: The Turn of the Screw is a famous ghost story by Henry James. Given Pretty Little Liars' love of referencing classic literature and film, we assume the title is an intentional nod to the dark novella.
