On Pretty Little Liars Season 4, Mona (Janel Parrish) is attempting to regain the Liars' trust. While the Liars seem to have accepted that their desperate situation means they have to work side-by-side with the girl who once tormented them, they aren't quick to believe a word out of Mona's mouth — and who can blame them?

That said, Mona does seem genuinely frightened of Red Coat, and, so far, everything she's done since the Season 4 premiere seems on the up and up — assuming she hasn't just been lying about all of the answers she's offered as a symbol of peace. At this point, there's really no way to confirm if she's telling the Liars the truth. However, she definitely was attacked in the car on Episode 2, and it seems like she's at as much risk as the Liars when it comes to being framed for Wilden's murder.

There are two main possibilities here. One is that Mona and Red Coat are playing a long con on the girls, and this whole friend act is a giant lie. The other is that Mona genuinely is in as much trouble as the girls, and really does want to help them.
