The Season 4 Halloween episode may not be set on Halloween, but that doesn't mean it won’t be awash with danger... and darkness! In fact, if you listen to the Pretty Little Liars cast, crew, and creative team describe it, it sounds like the Halloween episode may be the scariest PLL experience thus far. We know the Liars are in Ravenswood, and they're not alone! Not only is "A" (who may or may not be Ezra) after them, but we think Ali (who may or may not be alive) may also be following the Liars. And we thought three was a crowd...

“This Halloween is definitely the darkest yet! It's epic!” tweeted PLL writer Maya Goldsmith. Maya’s affirmation of the larger-than-lifeness of the upcoming ep is only the latest in a series of testimonials that attest to the Halloween episode’s epicness.

“I cannot tell a lie. Saw the first cut of the Halloween episode tonight. There are no words. Only letters.  OMG!” Marlene tweeted recently, while Lucy Hale (Aria) called the episode “the most shocking episode” yet and “the best written episode we’ve ever done.”

Even PLL costume designer Mandi Line has gotten in on the action, tweeting: “#pll fans u actually have no clue how insanely AWESOME this HALLOWEEN episode is going to be! The whole #pll team is going to blowurmind!!!”

Not convinced by the written word? Check out this vid of the PLLers teasing the Halloween episode. Sufficed to say, it’s one of our most anticipated episodes of the season.
