On Pretty Little Liars, Alison DiLaurentis rarely thinks of anyone but herself, but the actress behind the character, Sasha Pieterse, couldn’t be more different. Sasha is using her talents to give back to her local community with her plans to donate 10 percent of the profits from her upcoming country music single, “I Can’t Fix You,” to a substance abuse support center in Southern California called A Light of Hope.

“I wrote ‘I Can’t Fix You’ for a friend that struggled and is struggling with addiction, and it was really hard for me to be close to someone like that and not be able to do something,” Sasha shares in a new promo vid for the single. “I wanted to save this person. I wanted to fix them. And, I couldn’t. And it kind of came down to me realizing that, because I couldn’t do that, all I could do was love them and support them, and try to keep them accountable.”

Because of her experience and her desire to give something back to her community, Sasha teamed up with A Light of Hope in promoting “I Can’t Fix You.” The non-profit is a support center located in Santa Clarita Valley, California that provides support for youths, ages 14-26, and their families struggling with substance abuse issues or other self-destructive actions or behaviors. The promo video introduces three young people who have benefitted from their services, as well as the director of the center.

“I’m excited to be partnering up with A Light of Hope,” said Sasha. “They’re in my local community and they’re doing such great work.”

We’re so proud of Sasha for giving back, and we can’t wait to hear “I Can’t Fix You.” The single will be released on July 12. We wish Sasha and A Light of Hope the best of luck!
