We’ve been hanging out in Rosewood, Pennsylvania for three-and-a-half seasons now and still no snow! What does a fan have to do around here to get a few snowflakes? Well, according to Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King, all we have to do is wait a little longer...

Marlene confirmed with a recent tweet that it will snow in Rosewood in Season 5. Now, this seems like a strange detail to know a season ahead of time. It’s important to plan major plot twists well before they happen, but the show’s weather? Less so. This has us speculating that this snow could spell something we’ve long hoped for in the PLL universe: a Christmas special!

In February, Marlene confirmed that there would be no Season 4 Christmas special, but she “would love one in season 5. Fingers crossed.” And our fingers have been crossed. Has it paid off? Will we be getting scenes of the PLLers evading “A”’s most recent scheme on skis? (What? James Bond did it!) Will we get a uber-romantic, snowy proposal a la Downton Abbey? (We’ll admit, the Liars are a bit young, but there’s plenty of people in Rosewood to marry off.)

Fine, maybe some of our suggestions are a bit far-fetched, but we don’t think our musing that there is a PLL Christmas special in our future is so outlandish. Rosewood Christmas, here we come!
