We’re excited to explore more of the mysterious hamlet known as Ravenswood, home of the upcoming Pretty Little Liars spin-off, Ravenswood. We caught some glimpses in PLL’s Season 4, Episode 6: “Under the Gun,” when Spencer and Toby followed an “A” lead to the creepy Pennsylvanian town, but according to the PLL/Ravenswood boss Marlene King, the design crew has been hard at work perfecting the look.

“Two more days to play in Rosewood then off to Ravenswood for a few,” tweeted showrunner Marlene King yesterday. “Excited to see what @PLLdesignguy has been up to in NOLA.

Ravenswood is set to start filming in August, with an October premiere date. And, as you can see from Marlene’s tweet, though the show will be set in Pennsylvania, it will be filmed in New Orleans. As the official PLL page puts it: “When you take in account how beautiful and mystical New Orleans is, [it is] the perfect backdrop to a show about five strangers who are connected by a deadly curse!” We’re not ready to jump on the Ravenswood bandwagon just yet, but we’re definitely intrigued by the premise.

Marlene isn’t the only one headed southeast. Tyler Blackburn (Caleb) just finished his last day of filming as a PLL regular and will be making the trek to New Orleans to join his new cast. It seems like just yesterday this spin-off business was announced, but it’s really starting to come together. It will be October before we know it.
