Continuing her string of Ezria-related teasers, Pretty Little Liars scribe Maya Goldsmith took to Twitter to ensure the Ezrian endgame. What did Maya have to stay about our favorite on-again, off-again PLL couple?

“There is no endgame without it being tested,” tweeted Maya yesterday in response to fans’ concerns about the couple’s bumpy future. “Bones are always stronger in the places they were broken.”

We’ve heard from the PLL Powers That Be before that Ezria is the show’s endgame (i.e. Aria and Ezra will ride off happily into the sunset at the end of the PLL run). However, given that PLL has, at the very least, another season-and-a-half of episodes, that doesn’t mean Aria will be running into Ezra’s arms anytime soon. In fact, it could mean that there will be more “bone-breaking” before things get better.

In the short-term, things seem to be heating up between Aria and Jake, the latter of whom will be sticking around into the second half of Season 4 at least. Speculation is more guesswork than fact-based in Season 4.5, but from showrunner Marlene King’s musings, we know that something big will happen between Ezria in the winter premiere. Could this be the point at which Ezria starts to figure things out, or will it be just another bump on their rocky road to happily ever after?

Do you want Ezria to be endgame? If so, would you prefer that they got back together sooner or later? Sound off in the comments below!
