On the most recent episode of Pretty Little Liars, Mona took the fall for Wilden's murder, but the original "A's" motives still seam unclear. Did she do it for her former BFF Hanna, or was it part of a more elaborate plan to sabotage Ashley Marin? Of course, there's always the theory that Mona had unfinished business in Radley.

But Janel Parrish is putting the speculation to rest (for now), telling Wetpaint Entertainment, "Mona did it for Hanna."

"Ultimately, she knew that Hanna wasn’t ready, and Mona is a very, very good little liar. So she just stepped on in there," Janel recently told us at the 2013 Do Something Awards in Hollywood. "No one ever knows what Mona is up to. I’m questioning my own motives; I don’t know what I’m up to either!"

Sure, we now know Mona took the fall for Hanna, but were there ulterior motives at play?

"We never really know right?" Janel said. "I mean, she turns herself in and she’s all sweet but then she gives an evil little smile. Mona is on her own team, and you will find out soon what she’s really doing this for. She always has her own interests at heart, we know that."

So it sounds like Mona is scheming yet again, but how will confessing to murder she didn't commit help the cause? Even if Mona didn’t commit the murder, it’s possible that she knows who did. In turning herself in, could she be covering for someone else? Perhaps the Liars were getting too close to uncovering the truth about Wilden’s death and Mona confessed in in an attempt to stop their efforts.

Or Mona really wanted back into Radley. We know someone connected to "A" made a few visits to Mona while she was committed. Could this be one elaborate plot to get on Big "A's" radar again?

Only time will tell, PLL fans! Until then, what do you think Mona is hiding? Sound off in the comments!
