Tyler Blackburn (Caleb) has officially filmed his last day as a Pretty Little Liars cast member. It’s off to Ravenswood now. What did Tyler tell ETOnline about his exit from Rosewood and his entrance to Ravenswood?

Ravenswood is “cooler than anyone has imagined”

We’re still not really sure what to expect from Ravenswood - so much of the premise is shrouded in mystery - but Tyler’s excitement goes a long way in reassuring us: “I'm very excited about Ravenswood from what I've heard. I think it'll be cooler than anyone has imagined.”

He also talked about the supernatural elements that will set it apart from more reality-based PLL: “It's not too much. I'm not fighting goblins … yet [laughs]. It just has a tinge of supernatural stuff, so people will be intrigued.” We are, Tyler. We are.

If Ty’s excitement isn’t enough, check out what he said about PLL/Ravenswood showrunner Marlene King’s reaction to Episode 2: “Marlene told me she cried reading the treatment for episode two, which has never happened to her before.” ...And there have been some PLL tearjerkers.

Can Caleb come back to Rosewood?

We don’t know the exact details of Caleb’s departure from Rosewood, but we do know he is led to Ravenswood by a mystery he and the Liars uncover in the PLL Halloween special. How does Hanna take the departure?

“Hanna understands why,” said Tyler. “She courageously and graciously lets him stay, and, honestly, she tells him to stay in Ravenswood.” That Hanna is one tough broad! We’re less confident in our own ability to accept Caleb’s departure from Rosewood...

As for if a Rosewood return is possible for Caleb, Tyler said: “Caleb can come home whenever. It's pretty open-ended ... until further notice.”

Parting is such sweet sorrow...

Tyler told ET that he didn’t realize how hard it would be to leave PLL. He said he was exhausted after his last day of filming because he was so emotional: “It went from bittersweet to almost just bitter, truthfully. It was really hard. I'm getting a little emotional talking about it right now to be honest.”

Tyler called his fellow PLLers his “family,” adding that he is “so close” with Ash, but knows that this is an amazing opportunity and a valuable life lesson: “It's an interesting life lesson; in order to evolve you have to have some loss.” Wise words, Tyler.

Caleb’s remaining PLL eps

But Caleb hasn’t left Rosewood for us viewers yet! What can we expect from the rest of the PLL season? According to Tyler, the upcoming eps are less about “A” harassing the Liars and more about Ali’s disappearance and the possibility that she’s alive: “The show started with her funeral, so everything is coming full circle and it's really going to be so cool when people see where we’re taking it,” said Tyler cryptically.
