The official synopsis. To kick us off, here's the official synopsis of the episode:
Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) crash the Ravenswood Founders Day Celebration after finding a clue in “A’s” new lair that Ali (Sasha Pieterse) may indeed be alive.
Dressed in their finest Edwardian wear, the ladies hit the creepy cemetery party to find Ali before “A” can. But if Ali is truly alive, could the PLLs be leading “A” straight to their friend without knowing it? With Ezra (Ian Harding) lurking in the shadows, “A” may be closer than the girls realize.Meanwhile, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) heads to Ravenswood to help the girls and meets kindred soul Miranda (Nicole Gale Anderson) along the way.
It picks up where we left off. Yep, we're still in Ravenswood when the show comes back, and we'll meet some important characters from the Ravenswood spin-off, which will premiere immediately after the Halloween special. You can also expect to see more Ms. Grunwald, and we'll get to explore more of the town. They also meet a mystery man who, for some reason, they think might be "A".
It's the most shocking Halloween episode ever! In fact, Lucy Hale calls it the most shocking episode the show has "ever done." It's also the darkest Halloween episode yet.
Not the end of Caleb... Yet. While we know that Caleb is going to depart Rosewood to go star in the spin-off, he will also make an appearance at the very beginning of the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 winter season. That said, you can expect an emotional Haleb scene.
