This episode hit the ground running, with Ashley Marin being released and the Liars getting a threat against Mona in return. This sent them into a spiral of panic as they tried to figure out how to confront this latest move from the ever-evil "A" and figure how, of all things, to save Mona. We also learned that Shana has some connection to Wren, and Wren is moving in with Melissa. What the what?

Fortunately, the writers took the time to add some awesome relationship beats. Toby and Spencer reconciled, Aria and Ezra reconnected, and Caleb and Paige lent support to their respective loves. We loved all of these moments, and they came at just the right time, creating a nice pause before the real action began.

"A" sent the Liars a message about making a girl disappear, and the Liars quickly realized "A" was talking magic — and surprise, surprise, there was a magic show happening at Ravenswood that afternoon. So off they went to Ravenswood, where Aria was pulled into the magic show herself; which created just the right distraction for "A" to make Emily disappear. Whoops!

Fortunately, the Liars found Em in time to save her from death by saw, and the Liars spotted Red Coat — and realized there were more than one of them. Aria got into a fight with one Red Coat: CeCe! Unfortunately, CeCe slipped over the edge of the platform they were fighting on, and, despite Aria's best efforts, ended up falling. The Liars thought she was dead, but just as they turned their backs, she disappeared.

The second Red Coat led the Liars to what seems to be "A"'s lair, which had a timeline of every Liar, and also a crazy computer setup that lets "A" watch everything. There was also a payroll, and a closet full of black suit, which makes it seem like "A" is a guy. Oh, and hey... "A"'s been following a seemingly alive Ali, too.

As they were exploring, Toby was following Shana, who led him right to... Mona! Who was a OK. Hmmm...

Next, the Liars ran into Ms. Grunwald, who told them she's protecting Ali, who she met back when Ali was trying to figure out who was harassing her. And, oh hey, it turns out Ms. Grunwald, who has a second sight or something, is the one that rescued Ali from her earthly grave. What happened to no supernatural stuff in Rosewood? Eh, whatever, at least we got an answer. Unfortunately, Ms. Grunwald hasn't seen Ali since the night she rescued her (Ali ran away, because it's Ali, and that's what she does).

Ms. Grunwald told the Liars to go, because "A" was following them, hoping they'd lead him to Ali. But can they trust her? They decided to crash the party where Ali is supposed to be. And while they're doing that, a man shows up at the "A" lair. And it's...

EZRA?!

YEP. Ezra. Ezra is "A", or so the show is suggesting. Can that really be true? OMG! We have so many questions! OMG OMG OMG. Sorry. Coherence. Gone.

Any episode that leaves us feeling this shocked and confused in a good way is one we like. It wasn't flawless, but it sure was fun, and it leaves us with a lot to think about between now and Halloween. We give it 4.5 stars!
