The Pretty Little Liars Season 4 summer finale (Season 4, Episode 12: “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t”) hit fans with what could be the most shocking reveal in the history of the show  Ezra (Ian Harding) is "A"! However, like many of the show's revelations, this twist creates more questions than answers, and the biggest is: Is it even true?

The only thing the viewers know for sure is that Ezra showed up in "A"'s lair and looked pissed, which isn't actually definitive proof of anything. Toby being a member of the "A" team seemed even more certain circa the end of the Season 3 summer finale, and it turned out he was doing it for Spencer the whole time. Could something similar be going on here?

We've rounded up everything the cast and crew has to say about Ezra's real role, and we'll keep you updated as more info comes in.

It's for real. Really. They promise. Pretty Little Liars executive producer Oliver Goldstick promises this is not another Toby style fake-out, explaining that there's definitely "something very real going on here [with Ezra]." That said, Oliver refused to confirm exactly what's happening. We'll have to wait and see if Ezra is Big "A", just part of the "A" team, or something else entirely.

We won't learn much in the Halloween episode. If you were hoping the October episode of the show would clear things up, you're out of luck. We won't learn much more about Ezra in the Halloween episode; we'll have to wait for the Season 4 winter season for more answers.

Will we get revelations in the winter seasons? Oliver Goldstick promises more information will be "exposed and revealed" come winter, and the Ezra situation "is going to escalate and be more explosive and mind-blowing." That said, Ian Harding claims that even he's not exactly sure what's going on with Ezra yet, and the cast and crew are already busy working on the winter season, so we probably shouldn't expect a clear explanation right away.

The clues were real. Fans have found a lot of clues in old episodes that Ezra is "A", or at least involved with the "A" team, and Oliver promises those clues were "planted" on purpose.

So, what does this mean for Aria? Oliver still refers to Aria and Ezra as "soulmates," which is more than a tad confusing, but he promises the writers "can" answer this seemingly impossible conflict between Ezra-as-romantic-lead and Ezra-as-possible-"A" "in an emotionally satisfying way." That said, Aria is also in danger in Season 4B. We can't wait to see how that plays out and neither can Lucy Hale!

So... He's not just a sociopath? Oliver teases that there's a bit of a "Jekyll-and-Hyde factor" with Ezra, and Ian Harding is pretty sure his character is not a sociopath.
