If Mrs. Grunwald speaks the truth and Ali really is alive and kicking, then there are about a million questions we have about the circumstances surrounding her alleged murder. Question number one: If Ali isn’t in her casket, then who is? Pretty Little Liars boss Marlene King says we’ll find out soon...

“Title of the season premiere: Who's in the box!” Marlene tweeted Saturday, in response to this discerning tweet from a PLL fan: “@Jenn011688: @imarleneking if Ali is Alive then how is there an autopsy report??”

So, our speculation was right, and the winter premiere’s title — “Who’s in the Box” — does refer to the body currently occupying Rosewood’s most talked-about piece of real estate (i.e. Ali’s casket). And it sounds like we will be getting some answers in the ep! Does this mean the Liars will actually catch up with Ali in Ravenswood? Or might the Liars discover the occupant of the box in a more, umm, hands-on way?

Whoever’s spilling, they better be good. To our minds, either the autopsy report was fixed by someone in the know — Wren is already every other kind of doctor in Rosewood, so he might as well take on coroner responsibilities, too — or the person in the casket is genetically identical to Ali (i.e. her twin). The answer to the question of “who’s in the box” seems key to the Ali/“A” mystery. We can’t wait to find out the answer (hopefully, it’s not another dead pig).
