Don’t be fooled by what went down on Pretty Little LiarsSeason 4, Episode 12: “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t.” Despite all appearances, Mona (Janel Parrish) is not a victim. She is still as scheming and malicious as ever.

Mona has spent most of Season 4 trying to prove to the Liars that she no longer has anything to do with the “A” team, and that she really is on their side. Then, during the Season 4 summer finale, the girls received a threatening box with a Mona doll inside of it. By all appearances, “A” seemed to be targeting Mona. If that’s the case, Mona has to be good... right?

Not so fast. Executive producer Oliver Goldstick tells TV Line that fans shouldn’t forget about Mona’s devious side.

“I’ve always said, Mona is a viscous [sic] little dumpling and no one should forget who she was in Seasons 1 and 2 — even if she has ‘redeemed’ herself or ‘absolved’ herself of some of those horrible deeds,” he says. “She was still capable of them, and that’s important to remember.”

Oliver also says that Pretty Little Liars will explain exactly what happened during that top-secret meeting between Mona and Shana (Aeriel Miranda) in the summer finale. Judging by his tone, it sounds like these two were definitely up to no good.
