In the summer finale of Twisted, Jo lost her virginity to Tyler — but it wasn’t the magical experience she wanted it to be. Why? Because she wanted it to be with Danny! But after Danny basically told her he was in love with Lacey, she ran straight into Tyler’s arms. Sigh. Teenage angst is so tragic.
So when Twisted returns in 2014 to finish up its freshman season, will Jo regret her decision? Of course she will! But don’t fret too much, Janny fans. Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Twisted star Maddie Hasson at the People Stylewatch 3rd Annual Denim Party at Palihouse in Hollywood on September 19, and she told us the ill-fated BFFs will be reuniting sooner than you think.
“The next eight episodes will focus on the original murder case with Danny’s aunt, and there’s a lot that happens with that,” she told Wetpaint. “There is a secret that will come out that will kind of force Danny and Jo together.”
Will Danny and Jo discover Tess’s dirty little secret? In the summer finale, Tess called Danny’s supposedly dead dad Vikram (surprise, surprise: he’s not dead!) and told him, “It's bad. It's really bad. I think it's time for you to come back.” So maybe this means Danny and Jo come together to piece together Tess’s relationship with Vikram?
While we won’t know what truly brings these two crazy kids back together (and what brings Danny back to Green Grove), we do know that the parents on this show can’t be trusted.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the parents knew more about happened to Regina than they’re letting on,” Maddie told us. We know Tess and Karen are expert secret-keepers, and then there’s Vikram, who faked his own death, so right now none of the parents seem very trustworthy.
But we’re happy the series is going to focus more on its central mystery: What happened to Aunt Terra? And what is up with her necklace? The necklace ties into whatever dark secret these Garden Grove adults are hiding. Danny's aunt was likely a part of it, as well.
Catch the winter season of Twisted on this January on ABC Family.
